🦋🐛After a few weeks of caring for our caterpillars, today we set our butterflies free. The children had such a fun time watching the butterfly’s leave, one by one. This entire process was such a fun experience as children were able to see the life cycle in real life. We even had to problem solve when a couple of our pupas fell down. This type of authentic learning is what builds critical thinking skills, curiosity and problem solving mg skills.

Today we read about rivers, how they flow, how they shape the land, and why they matter. Then we brought it to life by creating our own rivers out of foil!
✋Hands-on learning helps children explore, create, and truly understand what they’re learning. It’s not just about memorizing…it’s about experiencing.
Because when kids build it, they remember it. 🌊✨

When children recognize what they are feeling and express it in healthy ways, they are better able to build relationships, solve problems, and succeed both in and out of the classroom. Teaching emotional awareness also supports self control, reduces challenging behavior, and builds confidence. By giving children the tools to name and manage their emotions early on, we are helping them develop lifelong skills for emotional well being and positive interactions. ❤️
