Fall is around the corner and schedules are filling up with school activities, harvests, and sports events. It is time to learn to create healthy, colorful, and flavorful meals—fast—using just one sheet pan! Join us for Simplify Supper: The Sheet Pan Way at the Carroll County District Library on Tuesday, September 10 at 5:30pm, and at the Minerva Public Library on Monday, September 14 at 5:30pm. These programs are free to the public, but since we will be sampling a sheet pan meal, reservations are requested by contacting each respective library.

Shrubby St. Johns wort is a common native shrub throughout the eastern United States. It features vibrant yellow blooms that look like tiny exploding fireworks and provides an excellent food source for pollinators.

For centuries, St. John’s Wort seeds have been used for medicinal purposes.

🍄‍🟫 Join the Ohio Woodland Stewards program for a Growing Culinary Mushrooms Workshop on Aug. 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Ohio State Mansfield campus.

This hands-on workshop will teach participants how to grow culinary mushrooms on hardwood logs. You'll drill, inoculate and take home your own shiitake log while learning the basics of outdoor mushroom cultivation.

Join Family and Consumer Science educator Corinna Gromley at the Carroll County Council on Aging Inc (Carroll County Friendship Center) for the first session of the Empowered Caregiver Series on Wednesday, August 19 at 6PM. Building Foundations of Caregiving explores the role of caregiver and changes they may experience, building a support team, and managing caregiver stress. This series will contain essential information for anyone who is serving in a caregiver role for someone living with dementia.
