We had a Jr and a Sr livestock judging teams take a trip to Coshocton County tonight for a livestock judging contest representing Carroll Co 4-H. These ladies are learning more at each contest they attend. They definitely left their mark on Coshocton Co and proved that they know what they are looking for when it comes to quality livestock! Please join me in congratulating all of them. Awards are posted with pictures.

We would like to thank Carrollton Farmer’s Exchange for providing a great educational tour of the facility and operations to the youth in the Carroll Co 4-H Program. We had about 37 people show up to learn about where their feed comes from and see some of the operation. Chase Horn was a great tour guide! Thanks to Aspen Ujcich for putting this together!

Join Family and Consumer Science educator Corinna Gromley in the third session of the Empowered Caregiver Series on Tuesday, October 13 at the Carroll County Council on Aging Inc (Friendship Center) at 6PM. Exploring Care and Support Services examines how best to prepare for future care decisions and changes, including respite care, residential care, and end-of life care. This program is free to the public and everyone is welcome.

Calling ALL 4-H families!!!!! Algonquin Mill is this weekend Oct 9-11. We are in need of workers to park cars! We still need help for the following shifts:

Friday 10:30-1:30 and 1-4
Saturday 10:30-1:30 and 1-4
Sunday 1-4

Carroll County Teen Leaders spent a few hours this morning painting pumpkins with the residents of Golden Age Retreat! Then we decorated the facility for fall. Thank you to Sydney Householder and the Householder family for generously donating pumpkins. Fun was had by residents and teens alike!
