Second grade has been learning about communities and how different careers help make our community a better and safer place. Chief Goode and Officer Brannan visited the classroom to talk with students about their important roles in keeping our community safe. They discussed laws such as wearing seat belts and stopping at stop signs, both in cars and while riding bikes. Students also learned about the tools officers carry and how they use them to help others. Chief Goode and Officer Brannan encouraged students to feel comfortable talking with police officers in our community. The students loved the opportunity to learn more about police officers and ask questions!
