Ted Polk Middle School

Dear CFB families,

As crews continue to restore buildings affected by power outages, some of our Summer School sites are still not ready. Therefore, we will need to delay the start of summer school until Tuesday, June 4th, to allow Oncor to have all buildings up and running and ample preparation time for teachers to prepare their classrooms.

We will continue with our regular Summer School schedule through Thursday and there will be no make-up day. Please contact the summer school campus your child is attending should you have further questions.

Our orchestra ensembles all won a first division rating at the Pride of Texas Music Festival this past week. Help us congratulate the Beginner Philharmonic Orchestra, Beginner Select Orchestra, Camerata Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symphonic Orchestra…great job musicians!!!!!

Polk scholars visiting Washington, D.C.

Polk scholars joined scholars for a trip to Washington, D.C. Looks like they are having a great time! 🐾

The Carrollton Police Department will be hosting a Junior Police Academy this summer! It is a four-day summer camp that is absolutely free!! You will learn about traffic stops, building searches, crime scene investigations, fingerprinting, crisis negotiations, K-9 operations, SWAT, and so much more!! It’s a first come first served basis and classes fill up fast. There are seven weeks to choose from. The camp is for students currently in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. It is open to all City of Carrollton residents or students at a school in Carrollton. Applications are due by May 24, 2024.
