As Fall 2024 college applications begin to open, Texas Tech University will be hosting workshops throughout the summer to help your students prepare for the application process with an inside look at college applications, best practices and tips, and resources available to help them navigate applying to college successfully! During the sessions, we will be previewing the ApplyTexas application and Common App. Please note that the ApplyTexas application opens July 3, 2023 and the Common App opens August 1, 2023.

An overnight experience on June 8-9 for Senior Day!

Rising High School Seniors will get firsthand experience as a college student, meet future classmates, and get immersed in UNT tradition.

- Stay on campus overnight in a residence hall
- Eat at a campus dining hall (several times)
- Participate in Small Group conversations with a student leader
- Hear from current UNT students, ask questions, and learn about their experience
- Get important information from campus partners about preparing for the college experience

The Special Operations Adventure Semi, or AS2, will be at Creekview next week! The parachute simulator allows people to strap into a harness and hang from the ceiling of the truck, and virtual reality goggles give visitors the impression that they are drifting through the air.

The AS2 features a host of exhibit including.
• Parachute Simulator
• AH6 Little Bird Simulator
• Weapons Display
• Ground Mobility Vehicle Drive Simulator
• Static displays of a US Army Special Operations Soldier

Scholarship Eligibility Notifications— Update
Students eligible to receive the Dallas County Promise last-dollar tuition scholarship at Dallas College, MSU, TAMUT, UNT Dallas, TAMUC, UTA, SMU, and TWU have received an email notification. Parents do not receive a copy of the scholarship notification due to FERPA student data privacy. We encourage parents to connect with their student regarding Promise scholarship eligibility notifications. SMU has notified their five Promise Scholars, and UNT (Denton) will notify their selected Dallas County Promise last-dollar tuition scholarship recipients separately soon. Students can contact [email protected] regarding the UNT Promise scholarship.
