Rain chances for early October peak at 80% on Friday for Pittsburgh, but remain 10% or less thereafter (through October 12th). This points toward a relatively dry period to start off the month with fall-like temperatures returning this weekend.

We are forecasting the high temperature at Pitt International to reach 80 degrees tomorrow, October 1st. While that is certainly above normal for the date, it is not unusual for us to be that warm so late in the year. In fact, the average year sees its last 80 or warmer max temperature on October 8th. So, don't put those shorts in storage just yet!
