Our chapter hosted Iowa FFA Association’s Southwest State Vice President Lauren Comes and State Secretary Erica Driscoll, as well as Southwest District FFA Treasurer Katelyn Dreher for a visit this morning!

These officers led all of our high school agriculture students through various leadership workshops, and we appreciate their time and dedication!

IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN — FFA Fruit Sales!!! 💰 ✅

The FFA chapter started our annual fall fundraiser on Monday night, and we invite all of Carroll and our surrounding communities to participate and support our members!

There is a vast range of products to choose from, including fruit, meat, cheese, cookie dough, candy, ButterBraid pastries, and new this year - pizza! 🍎 🍖 🧀 🍪 🍭 🥐 🍕

🚨 All proceeds from this fundraiser help pay for FFA activities for our members throughout the year. 🚨

Many of our activities would not be possible without the generosity of our FFA families and community members!

Orders are now open through Monday, November 2nd; you can contact any current FFA member to order, or email [email protected] to have someone sent to you.

Today, 17 of our FFA members competed at Northwest Missouri State University’s Fall FFA Invitational!

Results:

Advanced FFA Knowledge — 2nd Place Team, Reserve Champion!🥈

All teams other than livestock were also the top placing Iowa chapter at the event! 🎉

Our Middle School Agriculture Club is back for another year! All area 7th & 8th grade students are invited to learn more about agriculture and even join FFA! Our first FFA middle school meeting is TONIGHT from 6-8 pm at the Ag Building!

The 2026 fair season has officially ended!

Our chapter was represented by 45 exhibitors from FFA and 4-H at seven different county fairs (Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Clay, Crawford, Greene, and Sac) and the 2026 Iowa State Fair. These projects were exhibited across 20 divisions: beef, bucket of junk, communication, dairy cattle, dairy goats, dogs, farm crops, floriculture, food science, horticulture, horses, meat goats, photography, poultry, rabbits, round robin showmanship, sheep, static, swine, and tall corn!

Collectively, our FFA members achieved:

🏆 60 Grand Champions
🥈 36 Reserve Champions
🔝 90 class winners
🔟 30 Iowa State Fair top-10 placings
🎉 16 showmanship finalists (and 9 champions)
🟣 150 purple ribbons
🔵 171 blue ribbons
🔴 27 red ribbons
⚪️ 6 white ribbons
🏅 2 FFA Parade of Champions qualifiers
🎖️ 2 showdown qualifiers
👑 3 fair queen contestants (and 2 winners)

Additionally, our chapter was a top-10 Supreme FFA Chapter at the Iowa State Fair in five divisions (Dairy Goats, Farm Crops, Food Science, Horticulture, and Photography)!

6 months in, 6 months to go! Our SW district officers attended the fall SLCDO in Ankeny at the halfway mark of their term serving our district! They spent time learning more about each other, teamwork, leadership, and how to be the best they can be as district officers.
