Congratulations to our first Purple Paw for Purrrfect Attendance winners! These Wildcats attended school every day this week and were selected to receive this special Spirit Necklace.

How can students win? Any student who earns perfect attendance for the entire week will be entered into the drawing. One student from each grade level will be selected!

A special thank you to CSCISD Board Member Oscar Morones, CSCISD CFO Anna Rocha Díaz, and Federal Programs Coordinator Evelyn Castro for jumping in and assisting CSI Principal Ms. Sofia Morones and the CSI staff with drop-off duty yesterday morning!

Our first Cluster of the year set the tone for the work ahead! 💜💛

In just the first week of school, our teachers are already sharing high-yield instructional strategies, collaborating around what works, and continuing to strengthen the instructional practices we began building last year.

The focus is clear, the conversations are purposeful, and our teachers are working with a mission: strengthening instruction and creating the best learning opportunities for every Wildcat, every day.

And, of course, great work deserves a little something sweet! A special thank you to Faith Ortiz for our “Smart Cookies” 🍪 and to Mrs. Ayala for her famous cupcakes 🧁—always a CSI favorite!

There’s something extra special about welcoming teachers who grew up right here. 💜💛🐾

On Teacher Work Day, two of CSI’s newest teachers, Mr. Alan Bernal and Miss Chloe Avila, received the sweetest surprise when their families showed up to celebrate the beginning of their teaching journeys.

These two Wildcats are coming home—not just to teach, but to pour into the same community that helped shape them. We are incredibly excited to welcome our homegrown teachers to the CSI family and can’t wait to watch them inspire the next generation of Wildcats.

From being students themselves to now standing at the front of the classroom—what a beautiful full-circle moment. 💜

Thank you to all of our Wildcat families who joined us for Meet the Teacher tonight! It was wonderful seeing our students back on campus and connecting with the teachers and staff who will support them this year.

This Meet the Teacher was extra special as we begin our historic final school year in the current CSI building before moving into our new campus. 🏗️
