Did y’all know that I may be a wee bit competitive? Like I spend my non mahjong weekends driving 8 hours to compete with my dogs in agility? I like to say that there’s a table for everyone in mahjong. That includes the competitive people like me and the social ones who are just there for the good vibes. Updates! Mad About Mahj NC coming in hot with a fresh rule! TLDR: we will default to NMJL rules at our Open Play events unless the whole table agrees to a house rule 🏠 ALSO, new tiles on the way from a greater variety of brands (Mac + Miller Mahjong, Charleston Mahjong Club, & My Fair Mahjong 💛🩷🩵 SMILES & TILES 🀄️). Excited for you all to get to see some variety! It’s the spice of life, after all 😉 Hope to see many of you at Advanced Beginner and Open Play next week at Dingo Dog then it’s vacation time for Mad About Mahj NC! Last week was crazy!!! We started on Wednesday at Dingo Dog Brewing Company with 8 Beginners and 3 Open Play tables (including a special birthday table 🎂)! Vibes were relaxed and fun all night as they always are Dingo Dog Brewing Company 🍻 Love these Wednesday nights at my fave brewery! Congrats to kyleen king and Mindi McLaurin Illig on getting your first mahjong 🎉 We’ll be back next Wednesday, the 26th, for Advanced Beginners and more Open Play! Come join!
