Tiles on the Tracks! Who knew you could play mahjong on a rolling train through the Sandhills while enjoying brunch, jazzy tunes and mimosas? Huge thanks to The Magenta Train Pinehurst for helping me bring this vision to life and Bird Bam Tiles for helping all of our guests something fun to try to win! More to come later but for now, my happy heart is filled with gratitude and the sound of people calling “mahjong!”

A staycation for the record books! Started off getting a perfect little package from à la Mahj 🌲 A holiday mat that is absolute perfection with my Mahj Pit holiday tiles. Had an amazing lesson Daughters Coffee & Books 📚 Celebrated the retirement of a true legend in the CRNA community 🙌🏼 Drove to Hickory and played mahj with my amazing Mama to celebrate her bday and her mahj friends then taught some of her oldest friends how to play 🎂 Got to play a quick game at Selina Shue and ring the gong for getting mahjong! 🀄️ Then switched gears to a little agility work with my coach. K9Nut and I have met every week for over two years and the girls and I finally got to work with her in person and trial under her this weekend. She even humored me and agreed to learn mahjong then beat me! Finally ended the marathon staycation at the Carrboro Music Fest with some of my favorite people. I may not finish this vacation rested but I am happy ❤️

Local mahj friends, who’s going to the Carrboro Music Fest today? This is one of our favorite local events (even though there’s no mahj 🤣) and we’d love to see you out there! Dingo Dog Brewing Company has a stage all day as well as many of our other beloved Carrboro hangs. Don’t forget we’ll also be back at Dingo Dog on Wednesday night for Advanced Beginner and Open Play. I opened up another Open Play table so snag those spots if you want them!! I’ll even be bringing two sets with me from my collection that I’m hoping to sell so possibly a shopping opportunity 😊 Sign up for Wednesday at www.MadAboutMahjNC.com or via link in bio 🔗 If you see me enjoying the music fest today, please say hi! 👋🏼

Come join the fun! ☕️ 📖 www.MadAboutMahjNC.com to sign up or link in bio 🔗
