James Carter here! Just wanted to take the time to reintroduce myself and share my story.

As a young adult, I tried many professions, including carpentry, industrial pipe fitting, and a five-year stint in the U.S. Merchant Marine. My work has always reflected my blue-collar upbringing and working-class ethic.

Inspired by the metalwork and jewelry I saw in museums worldwide, I knew I was destined to work with my hands.

I embarked on a lifelong journey, receiving a formal art education. My love for metalsmithing and passion for teaching have shaped my life.
