Sophie and I had the opportunity to go watch one of our legacy students step onto the softball field, and whew… what a full circle moment 🥎🔥

Over the past few years, we’ve witnessed her growth not just academically, but in who she is becoming. The discipline. The confidence. The commitment to herself. That kind of transformation doesn’t happen overnight… it’s earned, nurtured, and chosen again and again.

To see her show up, compete, and carry herself the way she did today, that’s what it’s all about. That’s why we do this work.

We are proud to celebrate Nicholas one of the very first interns of Grow Your World’s INKounter (I-N-K-O-U-N-T-E-R) Program.

Through INKounter, we support youth who are justice-impacted, justice-involved, and at risk of disconnection and Nicholas has truly embodied what it means to rise, lead, and give back. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to growth have made a lasting impact on our entire community.

Today, we celebrate a major milestone:
✨ A scholarship to North Carolina Central University ✨Nicholas, we are incredibly proud of you. Thank you for being a powerful part of the Grow Your World family and for showing others what’s possible.

The journey continues and this is just the beginning.

Come out and enjoy outdoor games like tug of war, sack races, and ring toss; plus slushies, cotton candy, arts & crafts, and more! 🍧🎨

We’ll also have:
☕ Parent Café with coffee & snacks
🎶 Music studio + photo station

🎟️ How it works: Each youth gets 2 concession tickets when they arrive and can earn more by participating in activities. Tickets can be used for treats!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents & guardians are encouraged to join!
We’ll be hosting a casual Parent Talk on supporting youth creativity, communication, and wellness.

Spent some time at a local middle school recently, and I left feeling encouraged. 💫

The conversations I had with staff were powerful. They’re being intentional about supporting students beyond academics, focusing on mental and emotional growth, teaching self-regulation, and helping young people see themselves as capable, valued, and worthy. That kind of work shapes not just students, but future leaders and thriving members of society.

Also… a full-circle moment, I spotted a Pac-Man machine, one of my favorite childhood classics. 🎮 Had to get a pic with it!

Grateful for everyone who continues to grow with us and believe in the vision. We’re just getting started.
