Born on the South side of Chicago, she was the first in her family to receive a bachelor's and juris doctorate degree from two ivy-league universities. Through her service and advocacy, she has created initiatives for healthy families, higher education and international adolescent girls education. In her autobiography, Becoming, she recounted her journey through childhood and young adulthood and her experience as the first Black First Lady of the United States. Thank you Mrs. Michelle Obama for being a phenomenal woman.
