Solatido: A Workshop for Southern Singer/Songwriters

Today is the soft launch of a new book I was lucky enough to write for Music Maker Foundation last year. It includes a four CD box-set combo that documents a secret history of American roots music. Featuring 85 songs from 75+ artists, it’s drawn from 30 years of recording. Song Keepers features interviews I conducted with figures integral to the development of Music Maker, including Grammy winners Taj Mahal, Dom Flemons, Rhiannon Giddens, and folklorist William Ferris. Illustrated with 100 stunning photographs, it offers a new vision of Americana’s future via a journey through the past.
