After months of planning, research, tasting, and storytelling, Eat the World is officially returning to Wedgewood in August with twelve new destinations spanning coastal villages, alpine taverns, bustling markets, wine-country kitchens, and some of the most compelling regional food cultures in the world.
What began as a small series has quietly become one of our favorite things we do at Wedgewood — a way to explore food, wine, cheese, and regional traditions through the lens of place.
This season, we’ll travel from the Adriatic coastlines of Croatia to the taverns of Bavaria, the kitchens of Bologna, the markets of Oaxaca, the vineyards of Burgundy, the wilds of Patagonia, and beyond.
Late Summer & Fall 2026 Destinations:
Puglia • La Mancha • Coastal Croatia • Istanbul • Oaxaca • Bologna • Bavaria • Burgundy • Lyon • Gruyère • The Jura • Patagonia
The full collection is available here:

We’ll also close the season with a special six-course Eat the World Finale Dinner, a ticketed Eat the World Holiday Market featuring regional tasting stations, wines, cheeses, pantry items, holiday gifts, and seasonal exclusives.
Thank you for continuing to support these ambitious little culinary journeys we keep dreaming up in Carrboro.

We’re the only shop within hundreds of miles of the Triangle where you can get Bordier cultured butter. Hand-churned and shaped with wooden paddles on the coast of Brittany, it’s cultured for 72 hours, which brings an unrivaled punch of flavor especially when warmed or used for cooking. In fact, when you heat it or finish a warm dish with Bordier, the cultures unlock bright aromatics that mimic citrus and herbs.
She is the gold standard of French butter and is used by chefs, kitchens and home cooks around the world. Bordier is pre-ordered a month in advance and arrives almost simultaneously in the best kitchens in Paris, New York, London, Chicago and more.
It’s a day we look forward to every month— at long last, it’s December “Bordier Day.”
A fresh, 11lb lump arrives tomorrow along with beautifully wrapped bars in varieties of lightly salted, Roscoff onion and wild garlic & kampot pepper. Perfectly sized for stockings and generous holiday spreads.
They hit the case this afternoon, 12/23.
Happy Bordier Day!
