Congrats to Morgan Shute 25' and Maggie Swain 24' on qualifying for the 🇺🇸 WORLD 🌎 CHAMPIONSHIP 🏆 🏆 team!! They will represent team USA on the big stage in St.Moritz Switzerland 🇨🇭. The event starts with qualifications on the 19th. This is huge news for these amazing athletes who have dedicated their lives to this dream. We can't wait to watch them move through this amazing moment! GO BIG DOGS!

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in alpine skiing and/or ski cross. As a coach, you will enjoy the benefit of free skiing at Sugarloaf Mountain and may have the opportunity to attend the USASA nationals at Copper Mountain. Congratulations to our phenomenal Ski Cross athletes who dominated the competition over the last two days at USASA Nationals, seeing the following results:

* Freeski Breaker (13-14) Boys: Will Swain clinched Gold 🥇, with Gauge Dakers (WP) coming in 4th!
* Freeski Youth (15-16) Men: Jamie Hering ‘26 secured Gold 🥇, with Aidan Butler ‘26 bringing home Bronze 🥉. Bear Prime-Spivak ‘27 landed 5th overall, 1st in the Small Final
* Freeski Breaker (13-14) Girls: Evelyn Pepin (WP) snagged Silver 🥈, while Marina McKendry (WP) took 7th, and 3rd in the small final.
* Freeski Menehune (11-12) Boys: Liam Hohl (WP) earned an impressive 4th place.

Morgan Shute took home the Gold on the final day of Canadian Nationals, competing against some of the World’s best Ski Cross athletes from Team Canada.

With this victory, Morgan secured 1st place in the NorAm Cup Overall at 17 years old. Teammate, Maggie Swain clinched 3rd place for the Overall, also at only 17 years old.

This race marked one of the team’s best accomplishments of the season.

Next up: The athletes and their coaches will be joined by teammate Sully Butler, in Sweden, where they will take on the competition at World Juniors!

A huge thank you to CVA Ski Cross athletes, Morgan Shute and Maggie Swain, for their incredible dedication to inspiring the next generation of athletes!

Despite yesterday being an epic powder day, these amazing girls took the time to participate in a poster signing and Q&A session at the conclusion of the Ski Cross 2023-2024 Weekend Program.

Their passion for the sport shone through as they shared their experiences and love for Ski Cross with aspiring athletes, leaving a lasting impression on the future of winter sport.

Maggie and Morgan, your commitment to giving back to the community and nurturing the sport of Ski Cross is amazing. Thank you for being shining examples of sportsmanship and dedication, and thank you for showing how friendship and teamwork can make the world of winter sport a better, and more inclusive, place for all.
