Mental health matters, especially in agriculture, where stress and isolation are common. National research shows farmers and ranchers experience su***de rates 2–5 times higher than the general population due to unique pressures like financial uncertainty, weather challenges, and long hours.
This Mental Health Month, remember that support is available at Farm Family Resource Initiative Helpline: 1-833-FarmSOS or 1-833-327-6767 which serves farm families across the entire state of Illinois.

A sincere thank you to DuPage Event Center & Fairgrounds for its continued partnership and support of the 2026 Grow Your Own Food Program. By allowing us to use one of the barns to stage supplies for volunteer pickup, your generosity helped make program distribution possible and organized for our many volunteers. In addition, your contribution of a DuPage County Fair admission ticket and unlimited ride wristband for each participating student gives them the opportunity to return for an exciting tomato plant judging event this July!
