🥕🍎 Session 4 Highlights: Foods & Nutrition at Agapao Academy!

What an incredible learning adventure this session has been!

Our learners explored the foundations of healthy living by studying the food groups, discovering how eating a “rainbow” of fruits and vegetables supports the body, and learning about the three key macronutrients — carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

Our middle school students took their learning even deeper by creating a full-day meal plan and analyzing their macronutrient totals to better understand balanced nutrition.

All students collaborated to create a healthy snack recipe book filled with ideas inspired by what they learned. And one of the biggest highlights? Trying new fruits and logging their likes and dislikes — stretching their taste buds and expanding their horizons!

We loved seeing students confidently share their projects at our Celebration of Learning. Watching them grow in knowledge, creativity, and presentation skills is always a joy.

At Agapao Academy, we believe learning should be purposeful, hands-on, and connected to real life — equipping students to grow academically and practically.

Highlights!✨ Session 2: Early America
During our 2025–2026 Session 2 learning adventure, learners stepped back in time to explore Early America and the foundations of our nation.

Younger learners studied the lives of the Pilgrims and Native Americans, learning about early settlements, daily life, cooperation, and perseverance.

Middle school learners focused on the Founding Fathers, the events leading up to independence, and the creation and meaning of the Declaration of Independence.

Through hands-on activities, discussion, and creative projects, learners connected history, faith, and critical thinking—growing in both knowledge and confidence.

🎬 Agapao Academy | 2025–2026 Session 1 Highlights

Agapao Academy is a faith-focused homeschool hybrid in Carol Stream, IL, helping families raise confident, motivated learners through guided independent learning and group adventures centered on God and purpose-driven education.

✨ Session 1 Highlights:
• Expressed creativity through painting and art lessons
• Learned practical skills while sewing their own pillows
• Explored music theory and played songs on the recorder

As we move into Session 2: Early America, learners are connecting history, creativity, and faith in meaningful ways.
