PracticalNursing.org ranks Salem Community College’s Practical Nursing (PN) program first in New Jersey.

The 2027 rankings were determined by evaluation of the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) pass rate, cost and outcomes. The PN program was also ranked first in New Jersey in 2024.

SCC nursing graduates have consistently achieved high pass rates on the NCLEX-PN exam (state boards), the entryway to becoming licensed practical nurses (LPNs).

“The Salem Community College Nursing faculty and staff are exceptionally proud to be recognized as the #1 LPN program in New Jersey,” said Assistant Dean of Nursing Kristine Hunt. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty, the hard work and determination of our students, and our shared commitment to excellence in nursing education.

“Our program consistently provides an affordable, high-quality education that prepares skilled and compassionate nurses to serve the healthcare needs of our local communities,” Hunt continued. “I am very proud of our faculty and all of our students that have excelled in our program to make this #1 ranking so special.”

The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program launched a new initiative last week in Davidow Hall - Snack Express: EOF on Wheels.

The new program meets EOF Nursing and Athletics EOF students where they are. EOF is about access, connection, support, and making sure our students know that EOF is there for them-wherever they are on campus.

In addition to offering snacks and drinks, the EOF team can offer advice, guidance and support. Need help? Have a question? Thinking about your next steps? Just need a listening ear? Come find them-or better yet, let EOF find YOU!
