Boys Soccer:

Today we play as the #2 seed in the region. We have fought hard this season to get to where we are & I couldn't be more proud of this team.

We play @ Stephens against Hart County today at 2 pm.

Asking for prayers of strength, determination, ability, & heart from these guys.

Regardless of the outcome-I am just as proud of them & more proud to have them on my team! I love my team!

FCMS Cubs Update:

Girls:

The FCMS Girl's soccer team defeated Hart County Middle School in a shootout to break the tie at the end of regulation play. After a hard-fought match between the two teams it would all come down to penalty kicks to decide the winner of the game. Paige Brock, McKenzie Smith, and Chloe Rose Alexander all converted their goals during the shootout while Connie Boykin made two amazing saves and forced a Hart County player to hit the post to make the over time score 3-0 for penalty kicks, and a final score of 1-0. The girls are now 3-4 for the season.

Boys:

On Thursday we went to our big rival Hart County Middle. Both teams played another great, hard fought game! However, we were able to get the ball in the back of the net (after having 2 goals called back 😠) to give us a 1-0 lead that secured our win!

Our leading scorer-Nik Brooks- was able to break through the defense for a beautiful shot on goal!

Our team is now 5-1-1 with a 5 game winning streak!

We, as teams, thank Jesus before every game for the ability to play, the strength to play, the safety of both teams, & to be able to accept the score no matter the outcome!

Wednesday March 16th is our last home game! We would LOVE your support!

Tonight the boys soccer team had another 6-0 victory against Stephens county! Brandon Duncan scored 2 goals. TJ Sosby scored 2 goals with one assist from Aiden Kimsey. Jacob Harris scored a solo goal & Nik Brooks had an impressive bicycle kick that placed the ball in the back of the net for a goal.

The boys soccer team is now 4-1-1. They play this Thursday at Hart County & next Wednesday on the 16th they have their final home game of the season.

Incredibly proud of the perseverance this team played through tonight! We beat Hart County in the last 20 seconds of the hard fought game winning 2-1! Nik Brooks had a solo goal & Bill Ly secured the win with the second goal with an assist from Nik! We are now 3-1-1!
