Check out this summer reading event!

Today Ms. Wagner, Ms. Kizina, and Mrs. Ferro were honored with a retirement party from their peers. The PTA gifted them each a bouquet, cards that all students signed during Field Day, and gift card. We wish them each the best, and will all miss them! Each lady has had 25 years of service, and as Mrs. Foley said, "you can't put a price on that!" Carlynton School District

The Annual Federal Programs Meeting and Policy Review for Faculty, Staff, Parents and Families Title I, II and IV was held today. These were the documents shared and here are some quick takeaways:

-- Parents can request teacher credentials, if they are in question, and one case of this happened this year in Crafton.

-- Our ESL population is currently at 35% (127 students).

-- The three retiring paraprofessionals will be replaced this year.

-- There is still an opening for an ESL paraprofessional.

-- One class of autistic support will be returning to Carnegie.

-- A new Dean of Students position will help with behavior and discipline, health and recess. They will provide lower level discipline support.

-- Enrichment will be added for students who are close to GATE requirements.

The Carlynton School District invites families and community members to attend the Carnegie Elementary Renovation Project Groundbreaking Ceremony on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the back parking lot at Carnegie Elementary School.

This project is a major investment in the future of our students and community. The renovation will modernize the building, improve safety and accessibility, and create updated learning spaces that will serve students for years to come.

We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Carlynton community and for the shared commitment to investing in our schools. This project reflects the value our community places on providing safe, accessible, and modern learning environments for students today and for generations to come.

The ceremony will include remarks from District and community leaders, recognition of project partners, and a ceremonial groundbreaking.

Ice cream for all!
Earlier this year, the PTA voted to provide ice cream to every student as an end-of-year PBIS reward. Today was the day we surprised each class with a sweet treat!

Congratulations, Carnegie students, on earning this reward through your hard work and positive behavior throughout the year. There was so much excitement, we completely forgot to take pictures!

Way to go, Carnegie! 💚💛

Third grade had a visit from the Treat Trolley last week to close out our school year of treats! Thank you to our volunteers, Janet, Kristi and Correy, for helping deliver them.
