The Carlynton School District invites families and community members to attend the Carnegie Elementary Renovation Project Groundbreaking Ceremony on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the back parking lot at Carnegie Elementary School.

This project is a major investment in the future of our students and community. The renovation will modernize the building, improve safety and accessibility, and create updated learning spaces that will serve students for years to come.

We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Carlynton community and for the shared commitment to investing in our schools. This project reflects the value our community places on providing safe, accessible, and modern learning environments for students today and for generations to come.

The ceremony will include remarks from District and community leaders, recognition of project partners, and a ceremonial groundbreaking.

We hope you can join us as we celebrate this important milestone for Carnegie Elementary School and the Carlynton community.

There will be Free Grab-n-Go summer lunches for local children in front of Crafton and Carnegie Elementary Schools every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, beginning Wednesday, June 10th through August 21st from 11 am to Noon.

Also, every Friday families can receive a free bag of food for the weekend. This program is open to all families in the district.

Looking for a summer job? Carlynton School District is seeking high school and college students to assist with cleaning and maintenance across our school buildings this summer!

✅ Must be 16 years of age or older
✅ Applicants 18+ must submit clearances
✅ Strong work ethic and teamwork skills encouraged

📅 June 8 – August 21, 2026
📍 Work may take place in any of the district’s three school buildings

💲 $12/hour

Get ready for a fun-filled day at Kennywood with the Carlynton community! 🎡 We’re excited to spend the day enjoying rides, games, food, and time together!

Today we recognize and celebrate Speech-Language Pathologist Day across our district.

Our speech-language pathologists provide specialized support that helps students communicate effectively and fully participate in the learning process. Through individualized instruction, targeted interventions, and collaboration with families and staff, they help students build confidence and develop essential skills for success.
