Reflecting on the last year the only two words I can think of is HUMBLED and PROUD. First and foremost to God for guiding and leading every step this last year. Walking into this I experienced every emotion out there. Every good day was great but every rough day we made it through and I know He is the only reason. Secondly I am so grateful for all the staff. The passion they show for the kids is unmatched. They are the true backbone of the daycare and what make the days run. Every different idea and input is what makes it great. And lastly I am so blessed with every family that has entered the daycare and allowed us to share their kids with them. It’s an honor to play a part in molding and shaping them into their full potential and getting to pour into their life. The love shown by the kids makes every day worth it. To some we are their comfort and safety zone. Every kid that walks into the building is loved like they are our own kids. This isn’t just reality for me, this is dreams being fulfilled. The growth in the last year is amazing and I know this is just the beginning.
To some this is a small milestone but to me this means everything. Happy 1st Birthday HEART OF A CHILD CHILDCARE. We are not only making it, we are thriving. The best is yet to come!

When you work in childcare it’s like you adopted 60 kids. You get to spend so much time investing into all these kids and watching them grow and mature. When they are sad your sad. When they accomplish any goal, big or small, or do amazing things you want to brag on them like they are your own kids. Most days they feel like they are your kids. Today with school age it wasn’t just games and Santa. We talked about widows and people who don’t always have a lot of family and are lonely at Christmas. We made cards to give them. They were all unique and special but this one inparticular pulled at my heart strings. I am so proud of my staff that day in and day out invest in these kids. Good days and bad days. It’s so much more than teaching them to count or learn letters. I have to say though I am so proud of these kids. I just know this letter is going to touch someone’s heart. ♥️

To say today was magical would be an understatement. Absolutely love how all the staff make sure each child feels the Christmas Spirit. Special thank you to Loral for coming up with the best games.

Thankful year round for the incredible opportunity to meet so many wonderful families and be chosen to pour into their lives. Each child that comes in is loved like they are our own. Though we are such a small piece of their life, they make such a huge impact on all the staff. Even after they have outgrown daycare they never outgrow our hearts. I am forever grateful for this life! Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Heart of a Child Childcare!
