40 for the Future: A Grace Academy Giving Challenge Update🌟
We wanted to give you an update on where we stand with our 40 for 100.00 challenge! First a HUGE thank you to all who donated yesterday! We are halfway to our goal, we need 20 more people to give 100.00 to meet our urgent needs.
We also wanted to answer a few questions; What is the urgent need? Is everything ok at Grace Academy? Yes we are ok!
Our urgent need came from budget issues. As many of you know we typically are always operating at a deficit, the amount of students/income is much smaller monthly than our expenses. Our expenses are pretty simple, rent, utilities, insurance, taxes, payroll, curriculum bill, and other small items as they may come up. Why the urgent need? During June we receive no income and still must cover our bills. In July we do get student fees that are used 100% for school startup, curriculum, school items, classroom needs, etc. We still also have to pay our monthly bills which total $3000.00 a month or $6000.00 for June & July. This does not include any payroll or payroll taxes. Tuition this year was lowered by 500.00 per student because we are blessed to have applied and are receiving scholarship money to help families afford a Christian education. However, our scholarship money will not be deposited until Late October/November. Therefore, we are receiving thousands less for September and October.
Our vision as a school is to provide the best, best education, best teachers, best school environment. We appreciate our $100.00 monthly donors! The current need is urgent because this week is a payday week for our staff.
