What a fantastic day! We are so proud of all the hard work from our students, staff and volunteers. Our Color Run will still be accepting donations until the end of today. As of this morning we are only $4,000 short of our goal. Every dollar makes a difference. We use these funds to help support all of our students and staff at Mission Avenue thru enrichment programs, subscriptions to learning platforms, and field trips. We hope you can help us reach our goal. Head to our website to donate.

We hope you plan to join us for a day of family fun, on Saturday, October 24, from 1 – 4pm at the Mission Avenue Open School Fall Carnival. The carnival will feature carnival games, face painting, music, food trucks, an obstacle course/slide bounce house (open to kids 4 and older), and more!

Entry to the carnival is free, but tickets are required for most activities. Pre-order your tickets by October 31 for discounted ticket pricing. For planning pre-order purchases, the prices of the attractions are as follows:

Game Booths= 1 ticket (we will have ~12 game/activity booths)
Cake Walk = 1 ticket
Face Painting= 1 ticket
Colored Hairspray = 1 ticket
Inflatable Obstacle Course Slide Combo= 3 tickets
Popcorn/Soda = 1 ticket

Pre-order your tickets online at or use the paper order form going home this week!

The cake walk is one of the most popular stops at our carnival! New to the cake walk? Think musical chairs, but with cakes as prizes! But we couldn't make it happen without donations from our Mission families. Goodies will ideally be easily divided into individual servings (think cupcakes, cookies). But full cakes, pies, etc, are also welcome!

Please drop your donations in the MP room on FRIDAY, October 23. That way, we can do an inventory the night before the carnival to make sure we will have enough goodies for everyone. If you would like to drop off your donation the day of the carnival, please let us know in advance so we can account for your donation in our inventory. Email [email protected] with questions.
