Mission Avenue Open Elementary PTA

It is a bummer we only had two volunteers sign up to help out with the last Family Fun Night of the school year. We are cancelling this event due to the lack of volunteers. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the PTA President and Family Fun Night Coordinator at [email protected]. It is a lot of work to make these events happen for our students. We hope we are able to engage more volunteers so we can continue these events for next year.

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Remember Tuesday, June 9th is the last day of school, and it is also a minimum day so all students will be out at 11:55am.

We also have our last Family Fun Night of the school year, Dinosaur Luau Night. We are also looking for volunteers to help with set up, take down, and craft activities. For this event we will need to have enough volunteers signed up by June 3rd we will have to cancel the event. Please sign up if you can.

The PTA has had a blast supporting all of the students and families at Mission Avenue. It is always a joy to see the smiling faces of students at all our events. It is so great to be a part of a school where parent involvement is appreciated and encouraged. Play Day is a great way to wrap up the end of the school year. It is full of laughter, smiles, and popsicles. We need volunteers to help make this day run as smoothly as possible. There are descriptions of each station so you know what you are signing up for. The final hour of the day will be helping pass out popsicles and helping Ms. Z clean up the stations before lunch time.

Amazing job in this year's Read-a-Palooza! Mission students brought their A game and were real bookworms! We hope everyone continues the adventurous reading momentum into the summer!

We are almost done with this school year. It has gone by so quickly. We have a few more events that we will need some volunteers for so we hope you will be able to help out.

Remember there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day. We will see everyone back on campus on Tuesday, May 26th.

We have our Play Day for grades 1-3 on Thursday, May 28th. This is a day where our amazing PE teacher, Ms. Z, will put together rotating stations for students to play, get wet, and have fun. We also have our last Family Fun Night of the school year coming up. Our Dinosaur Luau will be Friday, June 5th from 5:30pm-7pm. Come dressed in your best luau or dinosaur attire for an evening of music, snacks, and tropical fun. This is a great chance to get to know your student's friends and their families before summer break. We will need some help with some activity stations to make this event a success.
