We are saddened to share the passing of Joaquin Emilio Razo ’04, a cherished member of the Jesuit High School community.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola Church this Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception immediately following.

Please keep Joaquin, his family, and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

We are heartbroken by the passing of Joaquin Razo.

Joaquin was deeply dedicated to the Capital Region and passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders. Through his leadership as Chair of Metro EDGE and Metro EDGE Emerge Summit, along with being recognized as the Sacramento Metro Chamber’s 2024 Young Professional of the Year, Joaquin made a lasting impact on our organization and countless people in our community.

His work with United Way reflected his commitment to service, connection, and building a stronger region for everyone. More than anything, Joaquin was a friend to many — someone who showed up for others, led with heart, and led with intentionality in everything he did. He inspired those around him not only through his leadership, but through the genuine care he brought to every conversation, relationship, and effort.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, and his impact on this region will not be forgotten. 💙
