There are no words right now...I sure don't have many. I'm devastated and crushed.
I had the honor and privilege of coaching Haylan and watching him grow, rapidly, in the sport he loved. I'm incredibly grateful for the time we had with him. He was truly a Special One. Everyone who ever knew him, everyone on the team, from every walk of life, all will say of Haylan, "he always had a smile on his face", and the best, most pure and joyful attitude.
Something for each of us to hold onto, cherish and strive to emulate as we move forward, one pedal stroke at a time and making every one of those pedal strokes count. Just like Haylan did.
