Our hearts are with the Big Sur community as families, neighbors, and first responders continue to navigate the fires.

At MEarth, we’ve been showing up in the ways we can. We added extra harvests to our weekly Big Share produce donations for Big Sur families and community members.

We’ve also welcomed Captain Cooper Elementary students to The Habitat while their school is closed. In partnership with Carmel Unified School District, we're offering free opportunities to explore, play, learn, and connect with nature through garden and art activities.

To the firefighters, first responders, and everyone working tirelessly to protect our communities: thank you. We are grateful to be part of a community that looks out for one another. 💚

Staff highlight ✨ Meet Hannah! 🌱 Hannah worked as a Summer Camp 2026 Educator and has now officially joined the team as one of our Environmental & Food Systems educators!

Hannah is a third generation Bay Area native who moved to Monterey county to attend CSUMB, where she received her BA in Creative Writing and Social Justice. As a student she spent two years working with local nonprofits through the Service Learning Institute as the liaison between community partners and students.

Hannah grew up exploring the outdoors by hiking, gardening and backpacking and believes that spending time in nature is restorative for both humans and the planet. She is passionate about caring for the community, youth and the Earth by fostering environmental stewardship through MEarth Education programs. In her free time she enjoys writing, hanging out with her loved ones and going on nature walks. We're so happy to have her on the team! 💚

P.S. if you're interested in joining our education team, apply at the link in our bio! We're still accepting applications.
