Football has much to celebrate in flyover country with the improbable rise of Indiana Football. The same can be said with newly elected College Hall of Fame inductee & fellow Acacian - Gary Patterson, Kansas State, ‘80.

His 22 seasons at TCU transformed a struggling program into one of college's most consistent and respected. With 181 victories and a 70% winning percentage, congratulations Brother Patterson! 📐📐📐

We are so close, brothers! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have already raised more than $6,000 for Giving Tuesday and are on our way to our $7,500 goal. Every gift today supports The Triad of Acacia and our communications efforts, and every dollar is still being matched until midnight. If you have not donated yet, there is still time to make an impact. Link in bio to give or visit acacia.org/donate.

Thank you for helping to support The Triad of Acacia and maintain the legacy of the Black and Gold. So Live! 🌿

The Triad of Acacia is the Fraternity’s flagship publication and one of our most important tools for connecting alumni and undergraduates across generations. Each issue highlights chapter achievements, national initiatives, leadership development, and the stories that define who we are as Acacians. It remains a vital link to our heritage, our Brotherhood, and our shared commitment to Virtue, Knowledge, and Truth.

Your generosity this Giving Tuesday will help ensure that every member, from new undergraduate leaders to seasoned alumni, remains connected to our shared story.

Your contribution this morning can have twice the impact on one of our most important resources: the Acacia Triad, which keeps our Brotherhood informed, connected, and proud.

Giving Tuesday arrives on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, and this year we are focusing our efforts on the Fraternal & Communications Fund, which directly supports the production of the Acacia Triad.

Great news! An alumnus has stepped forward to serve as our Giving Tuesday Matching Partner, meaning every dollar given on December 2 will go twice as far. It’s a tremendous boost for the Fraternal & Communications Fund and the Acacia Triad — and a fantastic chance for Acacians everywhere to rally together.

This season, we pause not just to give thanks — but to honor the ties that bind.

In Acacia, what makes our work truly meaningful isn't a building, a program, or an event. It has always been people like you—Brothers who believe in the lifelong power of brotherhood, who embody Virtue, Knowledge, and Truth, and who uplift others by sharing your time, talent, and care.

Every day, we witness, both in big and small ways, what it means to be connected. A Brother mentoring a student leader. A call to an old chapter friend. A gift that helps rebuild a chapter or fund a scholarship. These acts of Brotherhood—often quiet but always impactful—resonate across generations. They strengthen our chapters, safeguard our Ritual, and remind us that Acacia is so much more than four undergraduate years.

So today—and every day—we simply say thank you. For your leadership, your stewardship, and your belief in what our Brotherhood can be—and what it can achieve.

Happy Thanksgiving from your Acacia Fraternity Foundation family. The bonds built here continue to change lives—and we are grateful to share that purpose, legacy, and Brotherhood with you.

Team Acacia—not just four years, but for a lifetime.

Try me on the 47th? Actually, that was the number of Acacians who gathered for the 12th Annual Old Oaken Bucket Acacia Alumni Gathering— a celebration of Brotherhood, tradition, and just the right amount of rivalry.

While the event borrows its name from the storied Indiana–Purdue football classic, it has grown into something distinctly Acacian — a gathering that brings alumni and undergraduates together from across Central Indiana to reconnect, reminisce, and recharge just before Thanksgiving.

This year, a new twist: the alumni group that brings the most Brothers takes home the newly created traveling trophy — a replica of the original Old Oaken Bucket, symbolizing pride, tradition, and friendly competition between chapters.

Two chapters, dedicated alumni, enthusiastic undergraduates — and one very meaningful evening. The ‘Attaway’ moment? The Frosty Westering bobblehead made a surprise appearance… and helped Acacia bring home the win!

Team Acacia — not four years, but for life. 📐📐📐

That Tom Bodett moment continues — for Acacia — “We’ll always leave the light on.”

The journey continues for our Nebraska Brothers as Acacia HQ welcomed Mitchel Brewer, Austin Herman, and Zach Roberson & John Schaffert for an overnight stay as they make their sojourn from Lincoln to Happy Valley for the Penn State game this Saturday.

If you find yourself passing through Central Indiana — stop in, reconnect, and strengthen the ties that bind. The light is on, and Brotherhood is always in.

Another Foundation Annual Meeting on the books. Charles Sink dinner, Leadership Academy, Annual Meeting, Awards Ceremony.

A great time was had by all, several scholarships were awarded, and our long-time contributor and leader Bill Utic was awarded with some extra special recognition (and he deserves it and more - he has been a lifelong contributor of time, treasure, and talent and we are all better off because of him).

Hope everyone else had a great weekend as well!
