5th Grade Party

Birdies Miniature Golf

The weather spoiled our original date, but today's looking great! We can't wait to celebrating our 5th graders!

The 5th graders had the opportunity to participate in Junior Achievement BizTown, which helps students learn more about their integral roles in the community.
Students applied essential life skills, such as communication and teamwork, in the setting. Financial management, business operations, and career exploration practices set the foundation for future learning.
This was another opportunity for 5th graders to learn that "every piece matters" in our school and local communities! Thank you Carmel Education Foundation for helping fund this event!

It's the last Tiger Tuesday of the school year, and we couldn’t let the year end without a quick robotics update from STEM!
Recently, third grade students have been learning how to build cars and rovers with the VEX GO kits we purchased this fall. They also learned how to use 3D modeling software and how to code their VEX GO creations.
Mrs. Leffers as well as the students send their thanks for these amazing kits. Our Tigers are learning so many new skills!
May 18 2026 Lost and found video! If you see something you recognize, make sure your little Tiger picks it up THIS WEEK!

**5th Grade Families** We have one last event planned to celebrate your elementary graduate on the last day of school: the Walk of Honor followed immediately by the Hot Dog Roast! We just need your RSVP!
https://tinyurl.com/HotDogRoastRSVP
On the last day of school (Friday 5/22), the 5th graders will do a Walk of Honor through the school…one last time! We invite you to meet them on the playground afterwards for a hot dog roast to celebrate their elementary years! Our MORE Group will have lunch grilled and ready to go.
Please click the link below to let us know how many will be attending. There is important arrival and departure information in the form as well…please read before submitting.
Also to note, this is for 5th graders and parents/guardians only. If your 5th grader has a sibling at CE, they will not be able to attend as they will be finishing their day in their own classrooms.
We look forward to celebrating our Tigers as they head to become Cougars or Wildcats or Trojans!

The last Tiger Shout Out of the year goes to a CE legend!
Mr. Jerry has been a part of the CE Family for as long as we can remember. He maintained the building and made sure the school looked amazing. He cleaned up messes and accidents, he found materials and items we needed, and he was always a helping hand. He knew what we needed before we even knew. 🤣
Mr. Jerry retired over Winter Break, and we all never had a chance to say goodbye. Lucky for us he came back a few Fridays ago for a visit. The kids gave him cards, the staff gave him a box of memories because he was “key to the school”, and the PTO presented him with a gift.
Mr. Jerry, we wish you well! Once a Tiger, always a Tiger! 💙💛
