A heartfelt thank you to our 2025–2026 Carmel Education Foundation Teacher Engagement Council for their leadership, collaboration, and commitment to strengthening connections across Carmel Clay Schools this year. 🍎👏
Comprised of educators representing schools throughout the district, the Teacher Engagement Council helps CEF remain a strong and supportive partner to CCS while fostering positive relationships across school communities.
We also want to extend special recognition to Kristine Amick as she prepares to retire from the CEF Board this July. Kristine served as Chair of the Teacher Engagement Council Committee and as a dedicated member of the Grants Committee, making a lasting impact through her leadership and support of students and educators. 🌟

Carmel Clay Schools are truly special… we know it in our hearts and in our mission, but data always helps. We are proud of our students, educators, and families that continually persevere, actively learn, navigate obstacles like COVID, and prioritize their investment in public education. Way to go Greyhounds!!
Carmel Clay Schools continues to lead Indiana in student achievement.
A major national analysis by the Educational Opportunity Project at Stanford, and reported in The New York Times, found Carmel Clay Schools remains the top-performing Indiana district included in the study, with students performing nearly three grade levels above the national average in both reading and math.
While we are proud of these results, every data point is an opportunity to reflect, learn, and grow. We remain committed to continuously improving outcomes for every student through strong instruction, meaningful support, balanced technology use, and a focus on literacy, engagement, and lifelong learning.
