HUGE GRATITUDE again this year to Carlyle Fire Department!! They do such a great job teaching our kiddos about fire safety. From stop, drop, roll to emergency plans to 911. Thank you all so much for spending this time with our Messiah Lutheran Preschool kiddos!!

Here we go...AGAIN!! The demolition of the playground surfacing has begun. They will take it back down to the stone, at least, perhaps adding more stone, and then re-pour the pour in place surface. Hopefully just another week's wait--please be patient with us as we await a safe surface for many years of happy play!!

Just a reminder to visit the Ruddy Duck today from 11-9 for delish food, fantastic ice cream and to support Messiah Lutheran Preschool!

(The playground is still under construction for another couple weeks. We let the kids on it for photo purposes only. It will be worth the wait!)

Don't forget to stop at our friends at The Ruddy Duck for all their tasty goodies, whether it's BBQ or ice cream or the sweetness of the cooler weather shared with friends out by the lake. This weekend the Butcher family is generously giving back to us at Messiah Lutheran Preschool. We appreciate them and you!! Come visit and stay for ice cream!

The tamped rock stage is finished on our Messiah playground and now they're adding the subsurface-it will give us the good cushy bounce. Next step is the actual playground surface!! Still time to guess what color is will be!

The Rensing fellas came to pour our new sidewalk leading up to the red Messiah Lutheran Preschool door!! Huge thanks to them! They came in at a last minute request to get it done! Loving this Preschool/latchkey community!!

The handoff from Caley Meyer with Meyer Excavating to Luis and crew from Playground Boss to end the dig out and begin the installation of subsurface, new playground elements and pour in place surface--exciting things are happening!! In the picture, you can see the sleeves for the fence posts sticking out. That was a very hot project completed by Messiah Lutheran Church members Jason Selle, Craig Millikin, Nathan Fruend, Tyler Bango, Bob Thouvenin and our own Pastor Tim Chase. They will install the rest of the fence after the surface has been poured. Any guesses on what color the playground surface will be?? Keep eyes open-more to come!

We at Messiah Lutheran Preschool are so excited to begin our new year with a new playground and so many wonderful students and families! We are asking, if you are so inclined, to take a look at our Amazon wish list and we are delighted if you would like to make a purchase! Some of the items are to keep our kiddos active while our playground is being finished, some are to keep our classroom running smoothly and others are just nice additions to the classroom with our Kids Under Construction theme! Thanks for taking the time to look through our list! Keep us in your prayers as we begin this year building a firm foundation with the kiddos!!
