NMSU Eddy County Extension Service-Agriculture Eddy County Extension Service is an out of the classroom educational system, in which adults and youth learn by doing and sharing.

It is a partnership between Eddy County Government; New Mexico State University and the United State Department of Ag. Eddy County Extension Program Unit is a Cooperative effort between New Mexico State University, Eddy County Commission, and the United State Department of Agriculture to bring research based information for practical application to make lives better. Acting assistant secretary of the department of energy, Curt Coccodrilli, announced today, at a town hall meeting in Roswell, that the department of energy does not plan to move forward with the three proposed National Interest Electric Transmission Corridors. This was in large part due to the voices of local landowners and local governments coming together to voice opposition to the proposals.
