New Directions A2 provides a method for guiding children to academic success. The curriculum of New Directions A2 uses cutting-edge educational methods, proven most effective in opening the windows of English to learners. NDA2 also develops all of its resources based on how children develop and learn, using adequate repetition and discovery-based learning so that students engage with and retain wh

This sets NDA2 students apart as critical thinkers with a strong phonemic foundation and academic disciples that set them up for success throughout their education and their lives. founded New Directions A2 after Peter Drucker commissioned her to help every child learn to read. She served on the writing group for the California English Language Arts Framework of 2006. Her methodology has been used for 15 years and has a record of success across California as a school turn-around specialist. Dr. Gonzales’ work has appeared in Educational Leadership, Thrust and Education Week and she has presented at major national and state educational leadership conferences. Students who use New Directions A2 curriculum experience how fun, inspiring, and exciting it is to learn. The lessons make learning an adventure through experiential education, making children want to discover more. The time spent in NDA2 classes, while just seeming like enjoyable experiences, are the foundation to future success. The content they engaged with is easily remembered and used as an
advantage in students’ continued education. New Directions for Academic Advancement is a California state-approved provider for schools and districts that need assistance. New Directions was one of the original 26 agencies first approved by the California Department of Education to provide assistance to school districts through School Assistance Intervention Teams (SAIT) in 2002-03. New Directions has state approved and trained SAIT leads for elementary, middle, and high schools. In 2007, New Directions was approved to serve as a District Assistance Intervention Team (DAIT) provider.
