The Employment Skills Center is a non-profit agency that has provided adult education and training to the greater Carlisle area for 55 years. We believe that education is the key to better job opportunities, family-sustaining wages, and more meaningful involvement in the community. We offer classes in Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation, Nurse Aide pre-clinical training, English as a Second Lan

guage (ESL), Digital Literacy, and Work Readiness training. As the leader in adult education in Cumberland County, we continually strive to provide innovative programs that empower our students to become valuable employees and self-sufficient members of our community.

✨Congratulations to the graduates of the 2026 Summer EMT Academy! We are so proud of each of you and look forward to seeing the incredible impact you will have in our community! ✨

Congratulations to these 17 students who completed our Summer EMT Academy! All passed their psychomotor examination today on their first attempt and will soon be completing the cognitive exam for certification.

As always, a huge thank you to the Employment Skills Center for once again sponsoring our Summer EMT Academy and helping us continue to develop the regional EMS workforce!

Special shout-out to Lt. Brian Curtis from the Mechanicsburg Police Department for joining us earlier this month for a staff training. Lt. Curtis provided De-escalation training to our team with an emphasis on communication skills, situational awareness and scenario-based de-escalation techniques. We appreciated the opportunity to learn from Lt. Curtis and gain critical skills to help us better serve the community. Thank you for all that you do!
