It's awesome to see our Limestone alums staying involved in the game as coaches and officials. Last season Lexi England was a standout player for RCS Academic Team. Fast forward a few months and she's getting her coaching certification!

Today we're getting an early start on the 2026 season with our second annual coaches clinic. Many thanks to Principal Stacey Allison, Coach Holly Gibala and the gang at Nicholas County High School for hosting everyone. Also thanks to Chris Hill and Brad Persinger from KAAC for getting our coaches certified for Governor's Cup!

Congrats Teddy Woods on your new position at Woodford County! Thanks for everything you've done for the FCHS Academic Panthers and the Limestone League in making us both better by your presence. You're going to do great things there. If you start to miss us, we can always use another official for Limestone Challenge!

Please join us in giving a huge, warm welcome to our newest Chemistry teacher, Teddy Woods!

Teddy comes to us with multiple years of invaluable experience in the science classroom, bringing a wealth of knowledge, hands-on learning strategies, and a true passion for STEM education.

But his expertise doesn't stop at the lab bench! Teddy also brings fantastic experience working with the Academic Team. We are so excited for the leadership, intellect, and competitive spirit he will bring to our students both inside the classroom and through extracurriculars.

Lewis County High School alums, take a trip down memory lane (or convince your kids or grandkids that you indeed DID play on the academic team once) by checking out the all-time program roster, gleaned from LCHS yearbooks from 1985-present. The document contains an alphabetical listing as well as year-by-year rosters. If you played on the team in the 2002 or 2011 Limestone League seasons and know who was on the team please send it to [email protected] and we will be sure to update the list.

Exciting news! The Limestone League has added a new middle school member. Clark County's Robert D. Campbell Jr. High School and Baker Intermediate School will join the league in time for the 2026 season. Campbell is coached by former Montgomery County High School coach Stephen Burke. Welcome to the League!

Was the Limestone League well represented at today's Regional All-Stars competition? Of course! Limestone League players from FCHS Academic Panthers (Zander and Lucas), Mason County High School Academic Team (Patrick) and George Rogers Clark High School (Ben) made up most of the 10th Region team. Rowan County Senior High School had a starter on the 16th Region team (Brigham). Teddy Woods coached the 10th Region squad and Commissioner Elden May coached the 11th Region All-Stars, while Limestone alums Chuck Truesdell, Elizabeth Jones, Lareina May and Brad Persinger served as officials. A great time was had by all in the first edition of this new KAAC event.

Another one makes the stage!!!! The entire Limestone League congratulates Rowan County's Brigham Cosgriff for finishing 3rd in the state in Social Studies!!

The Limestone League is well represented in today's high school quick recall state championship match. Limestone alums Chuck Truesdell (Tollesboro/Lewis County) and Elizabeth Jones (Bracken County) are serving as judge and scorekeeper. Thanks for doing so much to give back to the game!
