Join us at The Goddard School of Carlisle for our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat! 🧡🖤💜

📅 Saturday, October 24th
⏰ 10:30–11:30 AM

Our teachers will be decorating their trunks and getting ready to pass out lots of treats! 🍬🍭 Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy a fun morning with our Goddard community!

We’ll have:
🎃 Decorated teacher trunks
🍬 Plenty of candy & treats
📸 A fall photo booth
🎨 Classroom pumpkin decorating contest
👻 Costumes, fun & more!

💙 Colors, Feelings & Our Awesome Artists! 💙

After listening to My Blue Is Happy, our Awesome Artists explored how colors can represent all kinds of feelings! 🌈

With the help of our Feelings Monster Box, the children had a safe and creative way to share their sadness, worries, and other not-so-good feelings. They talked about what was on their hearts and then “gave” those feelings to our special emotion monster to hold for them. 💭💙

Learning that all feelings are okay—and that we can talk about them, express them, and find healthy ways to let them go—is such an important part of growing! 🥰

✨ Staff Development Day: Work Hard, Laugh Harder!

Today was all about learning, preparing, connecting, and having a little fun along the way!

Not only were floors scrubbed, bulletin boards displayed, classrooms refreshed, and lessons planned—we also made sure there was plenty of laughter!

Our team took some time to play Deal or No Deal, test our skills with an egg toss, and see who could catch the most cheeseballs! 🥚🤣

We ended our day with “Fill Up Your Plate,” where each staff member walked away with a plate FULL of compliments and kind words from their coworkers. 💙 Sometimes we all need a reminder of the impact we make and how appreciated we truly are.

A successful in-service day isn’t just about preparing our school—it’s about pouring into the people who make it such a special place every single day. 🐴💙

Lots accomplished. Lots of laughs. Lots of memories made. Now we’re ready for what’s ahead! ✨

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
