Well, the blacksmiths and the sawmill guys got together and started up the sawmill today. It is running great for sitting over a year and a half. Thanks to everyone that helped out.

o Saturday, November 6, 2021, Demonstration starts at 10:00 am to Noon
o Lunch on the grounds at the Red Barn, $10 a plate
• Demonstration by Tim Lemons, Blacksmith Farrier from Bunker Hill Illinois. Demonstration on making horseshoe from flat bar, trimming horse’s hover and fitting shoes and shoeing a horse.
A farrier (also sometimes spelled ferrier) is a specialist in horse hoof care. A farrier combines some blacksmith's skills (fabricating, adapting, and adjusting metal shoes) with some veterinarian's skills (knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the lower limb) to care for horses' feet.
