Educating with Evidence Our mission is simple: we want to expand possibilities for teachers and students.

Educating with Evidence is a project at Southern Illinois University created through funding and partnerships with various agencies with the express purpose of supporting teachers’ uses of artifacts, primary sources, and media in classroom instruction and assessment. For us, that means education that is relevant, rigorous, and accessible for students who have a variety of learning needs. On our we

That Was Fun!

Our first Educating with Evidence Workshop is in the books, and we’re already planning the next one. Thank you to the amazing teachers and scholars who presented, SIU Press for donating some awesome history titles for our raffle prizes, and the SIU History Education students who helped plan and deliver this amazing event.

Free Workshop Saturday, April 11th from 9am-noon!

Come out to see some awesome local teachers and current SIU History Ed students Saturday morning. We’ve got a great lineup of speakers at tomorrow’s first Educating with Evidence Workshop from 9am to noon. We’ll be on the second floor of Wham, so feel free to stop by and say hello. The event is free, and you can even enter to win some awesome local and national history book titles from SIU press.
