SIU Criminal Justice Association - RSO An officially recognized SIU RSO for students majoring in or interested in criminology or criminal justice.

The Criminal Justice Association (CJA) was formed to establish a network among students who have an interest in the criminal justice field. The CJA is dedicated to providing a forum that facilitates interaction between students, faculty, program alumni, professionals employed in the field, and members of the broader community through guest speakers, lectures, trips and tours, and social gatherings.

Students from Southern Illinois University Carbondale visited the Pulaski County Jail on Wednesday, April 8. During the visit, students enjoyed learning from Lieutenant Womack about his experiences in corrections and gained valuable insight into jail operations.

The Pulaski County Jail does a great job offering an informative tour, allowing students to learn about and try different procedures, and providing the opportunity to see the K9 unit. Students also had the chance to use a pepper gun as part of the hands-on learning experience. Dr. Yesilyurt and Dr. Narag were there with the students from SIUC.
