SALUKIS CARE DAY NOVEMBER 12, 2021
We are mindful of the significant impact loss, grief and anxiety can have on an individual and a community.
Our students need an opportunity to pause to reflect on this combined loss. They need to take time for themselves and to check in on the well-being of their friends and family.
To that end, SIU Carbondale is canceling classes on Friday, November 12 (with the exception of the classes in the School of Medicine). Campus will be open for business, and we encourage both students and employees to participate in the inaugural Salukis Care Day activities. For information on all of these activities, click the link in the bio.

Time to get registered for fall on campus classes. If you need help, reach out through Saluki Cares. Can’t wait to see everyone this fall.
We plan a return to on-campus classes for Fall 2020, making adjustments that comply with social distancing and other recommended safety requirements.
Class sizes, mode of delivery, configurations and locations may change to ensure that social distancing is maintained.
There’s no doubt that Fall 2020 will look much different from Fall 2019, but the goal of providing a quality educational experience in a safe environment will be the same.
Check out how to return your rented textbooks.
Attention students: You can return your books one of 2 ways. If you are in Carbondale, you can drop them off in a book drop in front of the Student Center. (See picture for exact location— to the right of the front doors.) Make sure your name, ID number, and phone number are on the books.
If you are not in Carbondale you can mail them back. When you received the email notification about your rental books from the University Bookstore/Follett it had the option to print a return label at no cost to you. You would just need to box them up and put them in the mail.
