The Lotus Way

The Lotus Way Empowering vital Spirit and Nature centered practices, foods, services, and educational experiences. Honor your bodies and follow your hearts! Be the change.
(1)

Provide services that honor our natural environments on this planet, in our bodies and in our homes. Please chose what you put on and in your body wisely. If you are unsure if something is healthy or harmful, put it aside and learn more before using/eating it. Pick things you know are healthy and make them the foundation of you life! This includes food, drinks, cleaning & beauty products, what our

clothes are made of, tech devices, medicines, as well as our thoughts, and what we take into our Hearts/Minds! If you’d like support with how to do any of this better, the Voices of The Lotus Way are here to serve and share what we have dedicated our lives to practicing and preaching. None of us are perfect. That is impossible in a world that presents toxins as necessities and luxuries. But we can all do better, and see radical improvements in our lives. And it’s vital for our children and future generations for us to make the big shifts needed at this time. Let us help. The Lotus Way knows that a life centered in reverence for Love, Nature, and our Bodies is at the roots of a healthy and happy life. And it takes connection and commitment to living amongst others who have these priorities to make this possible. That is why The Lotus away exists. Come connect, align, flow, and grow with us. About me, Dr Heather Gail George

I am the leading Voice for The Lotus Way, a 501c3 ‘religious’ organization. (The government uses the words ‘religion’ & ‘church’… not our top choices for our and many faiths & practices that acknowledge Sprit as an integral part of life… but we are also fine with these terms in their broadest intentions). As a lifelong teacher, student, healer, and philanthropist I am dedicated to using my passions and skills to support and inspire people who wish to grow, live, and die vitally. I have been a student and practitioner of healing arts and medicines for two decades, a professional educator for three decades, and an entrepreneur and philanthropist my entire life. My Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education is from West Virginia University. My pre-med studies were done in Colorado and then my Doctor of Science in Oriental Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine. I am a student/disciple of Swami Chetanananda, and resident of The Movement Center in Portland, Oregon. Among the several businesses I have owned and managed were my television stations and production company in Colorado. In addition to the numerous philanthropic endeavors I have been involved in, my main focus now is supporting the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) Scholarship Fund through the Trudy McAlister Foundation for which I am the Executive Director. The majority of my time and services are offered in support of raising money for the education of our future physicians. My patient-students live all over the world, so I do a lot of work via phone and video, as well as in-person sessions. I also offer custom retreats, and teacher/practitioner workshops in Oregon, California, Colorado, West Virginia, and Hawaii. Eastern medical practices and philosophies (including but not limited to) acupressure/acupuncture, whole foods/herbs, yoga, meditation, bodywork, life-coaching, and community building are the foundations of my practices and services. I have a deep and unique understanding, from a classical/eastern medical perspective, of what is now being called the endocannabinoid system. My practice focuses on bringing this, and therefor all systems into better balance. I treat individuals of all ages and backgrounds. My patient-students range from those working toward optimum health to those dealing with potentially terminal illnesses. In your initial consultation, we will find the best way that I & others in our community can support you and/or your loved ones. I look forward to connecting with you soon.

Auricular Therapy for Trauma and Addiction Recovery (ATTAR) is a nationally recognized practice and practitioner training program offered through The Lotus Way, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
ATTAR teaches the Five Needle Protocol (5NP), a simple, safe, and standardized ear acupuncture approach originally developed to support recovery from addiction, trauma, and stress. Rooted in both Eastern medicine and evidence-informed practice, this protocol has been used in clinics, recovery centres, hospitals, schools, disaster relief settings, and community health programs around the world for decades.
Train in ATTAR with clarity, confidence, and care.
ATTAR is a training program in a simple auricular protocol used in community wellness and support settings.
Participants learn through home study, online learning, and in-person instruction with experienced ATTAR instructors in a grounded, supportive environment.
This training is designed to build understanding, confidence, and responsibility
use across friends-and-family, volunteer, or professional pathways.

Note: Completion of ATTAR training does not automatically grant legal authority to practise.
Professional use depends on state law, local requirements, and each participant’s individual scope of practice.

What happens when “wait and watch” doesn’t feel like enough?
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with Macular degeneration, dry AMD, wet AMD, retinitis pigmentosa, Stargardt disease, or another retinal condition, the Healing Optics Program (HOP) offers education, guidance, and supportive resources to help you better understand your options.
HOP is a non-profit educational program created for people living with diagnosed retinal conditions who want to make more informed, individualised decisions about their vision support journey.
Through HOP, members explore supportive topics such as microcurrent stimulation, nutrition, acupressure, light therapy, nervous system regulation, and regenerative wellness practices — with guidance designed to support learning, confidence, and next steps.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, searching for more information, or supporting a loved one, this is a place to begin asking better questions and exploring what may be possible.
