Head Start will be here this morning helping to hand out all the back to school goodies! We hope to see you there!!!

It’s almost time to head back to school, and we’re excited to be part of helping local students get ready for a great year!

On Saturday, August 1, Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church will host our 22nd Annual Back-to-School Drive-Thru Backpack Giveaway. Every backpack is filled with school supplies to help students start the school year prepared and encouraged.

If your family could use a backpack, or if you know someone who could, we’d love to serve you.

Registration is available for walk-up attendees only. Backpacks will be distributed to walk-up attendees beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the day of the event.

It’s Back to School time!

Come say hello to Ms. Daffney and Ms. Patty at the It Takes A Village event at the Murphysboro Youth & Rec Center. They have school supply giveaways, family resources, free food, and sno-cones!

Thank you to WSIU Public Radio for covering our Family Wellness Fair last week. We appreciate the positive things happening at our program being shared across Southern Illinois.

We are proud of offering an event of such importance to our families!

The SIU Carbondale Head Start program brought together 20 local agencies last week for their first family resource fair meant to empower area families connect with service providers.
