A highlight of our Budapest was visiting with this family of piano technicians and seeing their Steinway dealership. Had an interesting conversation regarding voicing, tuning, and the general state of music education in Hungary, and especially piano instruction.

Time to restring and pin this Yamaha C3 circa 1971. Average tightness of pins measured 25 inch pounds of torque. Actually is is overdue, but the piano has been used almost on a daily basis this is the first year I’ve been able to take it out of service to do this.
