SIU Honors alumna Marsden Fisher earns Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship!

Marsden Fisher graduated from SIU Carbondale's zoology program and was an honors student.

The fellowship “was an amazing surprise,” said Fisher, who was in the University Honors Program and invited to join Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) her junior year by Elizabeth Donoghue, assistant director of the honors program and SIU Sustainability Council chair. Fisher noted she is thankful for the support she received in the application process from SIU faculty, who, she said, have been an instrumental part of her education.

Dear Honors students, we have openings in the Honors LLC, Smith Hall on Thompson Point. 🏡

University Housing is assigning rooms this week. Email Melissa Granderson at [email protected] as soon as possible and let her know you're an Honors student interested in living in Smith Hall, if space is available.

Living in the Honors LLC means being part of a welcoming, respectful community where you can connect with Honors students from across campus. Many of our residents say they met some of their closest SIU friends while living in Smith Hall.
