I’m sad to report the passing of our classmate, Marc Chapman. I’m reading that he didn’t want a funeral but that sometime in the future there will be a celebration of his life. As soon as I have specifics, I’ll share. Marc is in the Chiefs jacket.

Please note the date change from previous correspondence about a reunion of the 70’s decade from SFT.
Plans are underway for an All ’70s reunion for everyone who graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School between 1970 and 1979. The gathering will be held at the Overbrook Fairgrounds in Overbrook, Kansas, on September 12 from 2:00–5:00 PM. Please bring your own beverages (alcohol is allowed), snacks, and a lawn chair. While reservations are not required, it would be helpful to know if you plan to attend so we can get an idea of how many people to expect.

This is a copy of most of the yearbooks from 1970-1979. There is going to be a 1970’s decade alumni gathering on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the ELM building in Carbondale. It will begin at 2:00pm. Appetizers and snacks welcome and encouraged. I think there will probably be coffee, tea and water available, but anything else you’ll need to bring. Alcohol is allowed.

I got this message from someone trying to organize a SFT alumni event. Please read it and give me your thoughts.

How would you like to see former classmates and friends from the 70’s? Does it seem like it been at least/more than 50 years!!!
We selected someone from each class to notify their class or pass on to whoever could do that!
If you are interested, we would like to meet August 2nd at 4 Corners at 2:00 to discuss a possible gathering.
Thinking a simple gathering on maybe September 27th at 2:00 at Overbrook fairgrounds with everyone bringing a simple snack, lawn chair and drinks.
If you are interested in helping, please let us know and if not, please give us a name of someone that might be.
