Did you know that in the SCD Lab we also run baby studies, online and in person? 🍼💖

This is Morgan, one of our research assistants, during an in-person session with one of our Lab coordinator, Antonella.
Morgan is responsible for coding in our “Puppet” study where infants (from 11-to-14 months) watch videos of puppets interacting to understand how they perceive social relationships. They will engage in different types of interactions including prosocial or antisocial behaviors. We will record your baby’s looking patterns to measure their understanding of their social interactions, and more broadly, social relationships. You will be with your baby at all times!

We hope to contribute to our understanding of the origins and development of the cognitive systems that enable us to become competent social beings.

We'll be at the DuQuoin State Fair tomorrow from 12 to 3 pm! Come enjoy rides, fair food, and the goodies at our table! We will be in the 2nd Heat Building, with all the SIU signage!

We are looking for participants aged 4 to 9 years old for our study, "Who Is The Boss?" The study takes about 15 minutes and is about how children understand social dominance cues! Please email us at [email protected] if you are interested in having your child participate!
