What happens to our kids' education when the maps we use to understand our changing world are quietly erased?
From NOAA’s canceled Arctic Report Card to scrubbed EPA websites, vital environmental data is disappearing from public view. While classrooms become political battlefields and teachers are left feeling "hamstrung" by school board politics, our students aren't waiting for permission to care.
In my latest blog post, I explore why protecting youth scientific literacy is a vital democratic mandate—and how the documentary "Thirsting for a Future" captures the incredible resilience of Colorado students who are getting their hands dirty and feet wet to protect their watersheds.

The Continental Divide is burning. In June. 🌲🔥

Look closely at this photo from yesterday near Leadville. That smoke plume isn't in a low-elevation valley; it is the Willow Fire burning above 11,000 feet, right on the spine of the continent. High-alpine ecosystems shouldn't be drying out and fueling wildfires this early in the season.

This is what the climate crisis looks like in Colorado. The time for thoughts, prayers, and political hand-wringing by our government at every level is long gone. Inaction is a policy choice, and it's burning our home.

We need climate solutions and civic participation NOW. > * 📢 Call your local and national representatives.

🗳️ Vote like our water basins and high peaks depend on it (because they do).

💼 Demand aggressive climate policy, not empty promises.
