Summer is slowly coming to an end and school is right around the corner! Here is a short checklist to make sure you're ready to start the year organized!🐝

Daily Routine🌿
The best way to adapt to the hectic schedule school can cause is to plan what to expect. Putting your weekly schedule on some kind of calendar and setting time for homework and study can do wonders! Make sure to keep in mind no routine is set in stone so make sure to tweak it a little every week to suit you.

Productivity Rules 🌞
Setting rules for yourself helps establish focus and commitment. It also helps improve organizational skills and stay on task. Some ideas of 'rules' could be stretching in the morning or finishing a project the day before the due date.

Supplies!🖊
Make sure you have enough, pencils, pens, and notebooks ready for the year. Alongside whatever else could help you study like flashcards or highlighters.

Hyperfocus is a fixation on a task for a certain amount of time. Being able to hyperfocus on a task allows you to get your work done in a timely order and effective. Here are some tips to help you hyperfocus! 🌞

Time blocking🎯
Open up a spreadsheet or grab your journal and make rows and columns for your workdays and the amount of time you want to work those days. Next, make blocks for the time intervals of the day and assign a task to each block. Time blocking is more detailed than a to-do list because your assign time blocks to certain activities. This allows you to concentrate your energy on certain tasks.

Pomodoro🍅
Setting a timer on for 25 minutes and taking 5-minute breaks in between is a great way to help you stay organized and focused!

The portrayal of self-care in modern discourse is extremely skewed. Self-care is often characterized by indulgence. This implies that self-care is something to be done occasionally and is something that is rather expensive like a massage appointment. While self-care could be as simple as making sure you get enough sleep or anything that is healthy and nurturing to your mind and body. 🌸

Self-care should be seen as a discipline in itself. It requires mindedness, a thorough understanding of your priorities, and respect for yourself and the people within your life. Self-care can be going to bed early so you can go to the gym in the morning, maintain financial independence, and in general do work that matters to you.🚀

It takes discipline to do things that are good for us rather than just doing what feels good in the moment. It takes discipline to take full responsibility for our well-being. 🌞

We all have those weeks where getting anything done seems impossible. Here are some tips to help you get out of the slumps. 🌊

Do something you're passionate about🎧
Sometimes to feel energized, you need to spend some time doing something that brings you joy. This could be singing, drawing, playing some music, or gardening. Take some time to make yourself feel rejuvenated and ready to go again.

Reflect🚀
Instead of feeling guilty for not being able to do anything, take a moment. Reflect on your thoughts and how far you have come with your goals. Think about the direction you want to go with your life, is the reason you feel unable to do anything because you want some kind of change?

Go for a walk 🌿

When you're starting to get into a routine it can be difficult to stay in the grind mentality. Here are some tips to help! 💞

Reflect 🌿
When things get a little tough to continue take a second and reflect. What is your end goal with all of this? Try to find a sense of purpose in what you're doing and a bigger picture or it can all feel endless. If the bigger picture is to get you into your dream university or internship try to focus on that when working to relight your passion and drive.

Focus on one thing at a time 🚀
If you're focusing on more than one thing at once it can lead to you feeling overwhelmed. Juggling too many things at once can wear you thin. Try to focus on one thing at a time and create a plan on how you will handle it.

Listen to people who achieved the results you want🎯
Listening to people who achieved the goals you wish to achieve can motivate you. They can also give you advice on any obstacles you could be facing.

Being self-confident in school can be difficult. Not feeling confident can make the day-to-day requirements of school overwhelming. This may lead to questioning your abilities and stress. 💞

Stay focused on you 🐌
Try your best to stay focused and on task. It's easy to compare your success to someone else's but doing it in a negative light has been found to have unproductive effects. Staying focused on your progress allows you to form a healthy relationship with your work and a sense of pride.

Identify your strengths and build on it🐝
Identify what you're good at and find a way to integrate that into your other work and capitalize on it. When you lead with your strengths, you're engaged and energized. You're self-assured.

Identify your weaknesses 🌱
Identify what weaknesses can lead to your lack of confidence in your work. Make a plan to overcome or reduce your weaknesses. This could be as simple as watching a youtube video or reading a blog post!

Failure is an unavoidable part of life. Especially when you're trying out something new. When you learn from your mistakes it helps make you more resilient to challenges that naturally occur in life. Here are some tips to help you embrace failure. 💫

Separate the failure from your identity🌻
Failure can be tough. Give yourself some time and acknowledge that this does not reflect who you are as an individual. Understanding, that failure is just a normal part of the process can help you maintain the confidence to move forward.

Learn from it🍉
Look at the situation as a form of constructive criticism. Identify why it did not work out and what you could have done differently. Then try to reflect and ask yourself what you can learn from this.

New perspective🌱
Try to shift your perspective away from negative thoughts and focus on positive associations. Try to remind yourself that failure brings you one step closer to reaching your bigger goal.

Get support 🙋
Talking to someone about what happened is a great way to gain a new perspective and get some encouragement to try again.

Summer is slowly ending, meaning the school year is starting right around the corner! Here are some tips to help you transition into the school grind.💪

- Start fixing your sleep cycle 🛌
In summer it's common to have your sleep schedule change. You could be going to bed and waking up late. You can't expect to go to bed around 2 a.m and then be able to wake up at 7 again. Start slowly adjusting your sleep cycle.

- Get back into the mindset 🎧
Going back to school means you have to get back into the learning mindset. Take some time every week to learn something new, this could be something you find fun or something that relates to a class you have next year.

- Stress management skills🌞
Take some time and reflect on your previous school year and identify some stress triggers you faced. Reflect on what helped you during that time and see how you can implement those techniques before your stress gets too intense.

Figuring out what you need to prioritize in life can be difficult. The Eisenhower Matrix is a great tool to utilize when figuring out what tasks to do first. 📑

How to do it? ❓
1. Start by making four squares ⏹

2. The do first square are essential tasks 🎯
These are tasks that need to be done today or tomorrow by the latest. An example of this task could be to look over instructions for an essay.

3. The second square should be called schedule ⏳
This square should be full of tasks that are important but not as urgent. So ideally you have two weeks till you have to finish it.

4. The third square is the delegate square 📞
Delegate tasks are things you need to ask from other people. Such as emailing a professor, meeting with a group for a project, and so on.

5. The last square; do not do square 📵
This square is about things that do not need to do right now, like spending too much time on TikTok. This square is supposed to help you stop bad habits.

Being actively engaged with the material you're learning can do wonder! Here are some tips to use next time you're prepping for an exam or essay.🤗

1. Reflect✍🏽
Take some time and figure out when you feel most energized. Everyone feels energized at different times and due to different factors. Take some time and pay attention to your body's natural time clock and try to identify when you feel the most energetic. Studies have shown people are more productive within two hours after working out or 1-3 hours after drinking caffeine.

2. The 20 rule 🧠
Concentrating for hours at a time is physically and mentally exhausting. This rule helps alert your mind and reduce eye strain. To do this technique you need to focus on an object every 20 minutes that is at least 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

3. Smart breaks 🧶
Take some time and do activities that promote rest and overall well-being. Instead of snacking on junk food try to participate in more mindless activities like exercising, doing errands, or listening to music. Taking a nap for 10-20 minutes has also been found to boost short-term memory!

4. Plan, Prep, Progress👠
These 3 Ps will help you set goals and maintain them! Start every project by planning what you need to do and see how you can prep for all of the steps you plan. The final step is checking your progress and seeing how you can improve.

Finding a hobby that you are passionate about can do wonders for your mental health and productivity levels. Here are some ways to find a hobby that will bring you joy. 🏓

Make a list 🖋
I know this is a common theme among all of our posts but lists do wonder! Get a piece of paper and write down all the activities you ever wanted to explore. Don't limit yourself regarding if they are possible or not ( we will get to that later). Really use this time to explore everything you have wanted to do or thought was cool.

Visualize the end result 👀
When writing your list try to think about what you want to accomplish with this new hobby. Is it about being ore create or maybe or active? Target what is most important to you.

Be realistic🌞
It can be daunting to just jump into something, so making baby steps is necessary! Setting unrealistic expectations can discourage you from pursuing your new hobby. So setting out what is realistic among your circumstances is important.
