Search for the Leprechaun! Throughout the day students located leprechauns that were hidden throughout the building. Students who found these pesky critters were entered into a drawing for a Five Below gift card. These were the lucky raffle winners!

A big thank you to Sturdy Savings Bank for their very generous donation towards our 5th grade Nature Center field trip. Michael Clark and Kim Cresse stopped by Sandman School today to present this check. We are so grateful for their continued support of our students.

Road trip, anyone?! Ms. Osmundsen’s 5th graders selected a national park based on their own interests. They wrote feature articles, created dioramas, composed poems, and designed slideshow presentations.

It was a reading at the beach kind of day. As we continue Read Across America, students got to visit the beach. Unfortunately there were sharks in the water so we had to read. A special thanks to Mrs. Bryan for coordinating this event and to Mr. Dietterich for bringing the wave runner and other fun beach toys.

Congratulations to our February Character Trait of the Month nominees. In February we focused on Courage and these students were nominated by their teachers. They have exemplified courage not only this past month but throughout the year. We are proud of their hard work and determination. Keep up the good work.
