Check out our Cape Central Academy graduate James!!!! We are so proud of you and had no doubt you would succeed wherever you went to!
By their fruit you shall know them. π₯¬π₯π₯¦ππ§ ππ¨πΎβπΎ
An ancient proverb teaches us that a tree's true worth is proven not by its words or its leaves, but by what it bears. At South Side Farms, our mission is cultivating crops and people; and today, we are honored to show you our finest fruit.
Deep down, people everywhere want the exact same things for their families and out of life: stability, a purpose, and a real chance to build a brighter future. But no matter how much you want those things, life has a way of lifeβn. Barriers appear, paths get complicated, and sometimes you just need a nudge, a village, an open door along the way. Leading the way with agriculture, we exist to be that nudge, that village, and that open door, dedicated to advancing economic mobility for all.
Today, we are thrilled to announce a historic milestone: James Blue III, at just 20 years old, has been promoted to Assistant Farm Manager and Team Lead at South Side Farms! π Those who come behind him will now be partially trained through him! That is exactly what cultivation looks like, and it is a beautiful thing.
We have witnessed tremendous growth in James, and we have absolute confidence in his leadership to help move South Side Farms forward. His journey is a testament to what happens when dedication meets opportunity:
Graduation from Cape Central Academy π
Completion of the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center's Horticulture Program π οΈ
Hands-on growth at South Side Farms πΏ
Specialized training with the Lincoln University Integrated Pest Management Department π§
And now:
Assistant Farm Manager! π¨πΎβπΎ
With this promotion comes even more stability, greater opportunities to save and invest for his future, and the ability to make even more of his dreams a reality. This is how you change the structure of entire family trees.π¨βπ§βπ¦
We have been honored to walk alongside him, from helping him establish his first bank account and savings account to obtaining his U.S. Passport, while providing guidance, mentorship, professional connections, leadership opportunities, and a trade. We are laying a blueprint for other communities across the state of Missouri to follow because we believe we have a framework worth sharing.
They say it's lonely at the top. Well, it's only lonely at the top if you take no one with you! At South Side Farms, we are inviting an entire generation to take this journey with us.
Please join us in sending a massive congratulations to James Blue III! The future of agriculture and community leadership is bright. π¦
